More expertise at QUO

A WARM WELCOME TO ANDREA, LYA AND KARIN!

QUO GROWS TO MEET THE CHALLENGES OF ITS CUSTOMERS

The projects of our customers are as diverse as they are themselves. Whether medical technology, packaging industry or construction industry – we are pleased to make our extensive expertise available to all our customers and to support them in their projects optimally.
In order to ensure this support and to be prepared for new challenges, it is important for QUO to have talented and motivated employees in its team. We are therefore very pleased to welcome three new colleagues to QUO. In the following they will introduce themselves:

ANDREA CAFLISCH, MECHANICAL ENGINEER:

It is my goal to do my work with enthusiasm every day. At QUO, boring routine never creeps in, because I have a versatile job in a great team.
As a mechanical engineer at ETH with a master’s degree in production engineering, I look at the world from a different perspective. Even with everyday products, I ask myself: How was the object produced? And how would I produce it?
Production-oriented product design saves time and money for the customer. That’s why it’s important for me to be involved in the product development process right from the start. My focus is on forming processes. By using these, it is possible to economically manufacture a large number of high-quality products while using little resources and in combination with other manufacturing technologies.
Constant contact to customers and suppliers is essential for me. I am also happy to work together with production staff and initiate process optimisation in the sense of continuous improvement.

LYA RENNHARD, PRODUCT DESIGNER:

During the design process, I like to deal intensively with a given issue, while aiming at breaking through the given boundaries. At QUO, I find myself in a team that thinks and works in exactly that way. We are united by the enthusiasm to discover new things: To answer a question without losing sight of the big picture. By discussing the topics in interdisciplinary project groups, we achieve unexpected, innovative solutions. As a designer, I see myself not only as a creative part, but also as a driving force to think around the corner and make courageous decisions.
At the same time, my industrial design studies at the ECAL in Lausanne taught me to recognize the essentials of a solution in order to create a lasting positive product experience for the user. Form, proportion and material play just as big a role as interaction and effect. In order to bring these elements into harmony, working on the mock-up of a future product is something that is very important to me and that I enjoy very much.
I am looking forward to the upcoming projects and to being part of the QUO team.

KARIN KLAUENBÖSCH, HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION, ACCOUNTING AND HR

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in accounting, administration and human resources in both swiss and international companies.
After several years in the financial accounting/administration department of a technical laboratory in Zurich, I immediately felt at home at QUO. The small, familiar team and the lively exchange among each other, which is cultivated by joint coffee and lunch breaks, immediately appealed to me.
I am happy to support the company administratively with my many years of experience and to have the teams back so that they can concentrate fully on the project work for our customers.

We wish Andrea, Lya and Karin all the best for their start at QUO and look forward to working with the three of them!
