Graphic design welding helmet

Optrel panoramaxx – a social commitment

On the occasion of a corporate initiative of Optrel and the relief organization LICHT FÜR DIE WELT, a design competition for a limited edition welding helmet was announced. QUO was able to prevail against numerous competitors from home and abroad.

The award-winning design by QUO, takes up the welders’ passion for high-quality metals as a material. The titanium coating refines the helmet and makes it more resistant. The elements that glow after welding symbolise the eyesight that is returned to the person concerned through an eye operation by LICHT FÜR DIE WELT.

In the prevention and healing of avoidable blindness, LIGHT FOR THE WORLD is a worldwide known professional organisation. LICHT FÜR DIE WELT enables cataract operations, builds hospitals, supports the training of ophthalmologists and opticians.

The Optrel panoramaxx in the LICHT FÜR DIE WELT Special Edition is exclusively distributed by Optrel. The helmet can be ordered immediately and is ready for delivery. The entire proceeds from the sale of the Optrel panoramaxx in limited edition, which was designed especially for this project, will be donated to the foundation.

Optrel Crystal – Redesign for new technology

Optrel presented in autumn 2018 with the Crystal 2.0 technology a revolution in the field of glare protection for welders. The optics developed by Optrel offer a crystal-clear view of the welding area as through a window glass. For the first time in the history of welding, Crystal 2.0 enables the welder to observe the joining process as it actually takes place. This innovation is implemented in a helmet shell that was designed 15 years ago. QUO’s brief was to give the helmet a contemporary look by designing the surface and typography of the helmet and to convey the technological innovation visually as well.
