QUO SUPPORTS SWISS SPECIAL OLYMPICS
INTEGRATION AND SPORTING COMMITMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISABILITIES
Special Olympics was founded in 1968 and has the intention to give people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to compete against each other in sports and by this means offer them integration into the society. Special trainings as well as regional, national and international competitions are offered for this purpose. The main focus of the organization is to value the athletes’ achievements – regardless of whether they win or not.
COURAGE TO DARE SOMETHING NEW
The aim of Special Olympics is to give athletes pleasure through sport and to give them a sense of achievement. In this way the self-esteem of the participants is increased and their courage to dare something new is awakened. This value: “The courage to dare something new” is exactly what applies to QUO as well. With this courage we approach problems in our customers’ projects and develop new, unconventional solutions.
TOGETHER FOR MORE INTEGRATION
QUO supports Swiss Special Olympics because we are convinced that all people should be valued and have the right of integration into our society. We are convinced that only a heterogeneous society, in which all people, regardless of their origin, religion or intellectual abilities, have a place, is able to achieve something extraordinary for our world.
This is also the case on a small scale at QUO: It is only through our interdisciplinary team that we can achieve extraordinary results.
