[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Vera Gail complements our team in materials technology, especially in the field of textiles. We are happy to let her have the floor for her personal introduction:

Whether it is the transfer of the lotus effect to textile finishing agents or the derivation of the Velcro fastener from Velcro fruits, the transfer of existing elements to current challenges as in the context of bionics fascinates me. Such syntheses require an intensive exchange between industries and disciplines, a collaborative working environment and a creative ecosystem. At QUO, these aspects come together, so it was quickly clear to me that I wanted to be part of the team.

As a product developer and textile engineer, I have already successfully developed cross-industry solutions and products, be it a temperature-adaptive nanofibre membrane or the design of a crash barrier made of fibre-reinforced plastics for road traffic. In the process, a holistic perspective, a view beyond the end of one’s nose and a practice-oriented way of working have always been faithful companions.

In the innovation management of a globally operating textile company, I had the opportunity to transfer smart textiles into industrial production and to bring them to market maturity in customer projects with several partners to be coordinated. In my business studies, I learned the basic skills and methods of agile project management and dealt with business models and dynamically operating value creation networks.

I am very much looking forward to contributing my skills to the QUO team and helping to realise sustainable innovations with added value for and with our customers.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
