To reduce the need for support from technically trained personnel at SRF, Quo examined around ten different workstations, such as the director's office, control room and presenter areas. These workstations possess similarities and individual requirements, which are characterised by either routine activities or detailed configurations and specific technical and journalistic tasks.
On this basis and in close collaboration with the SRF personnel along with software developers, Quo transformed the initial design step-by-step into a standardised and intuitive GFX user interface.
With its consistent and appealing design language, the GUI allows all users to easily find their way around the different workstations. The resulting toolkit of operating components enables technical developers to implement new solutions that can be added in the future – while maintaining the same intuitive user experience.
Workstations equipped with the GFX consoles are already in daily use at SRF.
